The following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with the following offences

Rossington: A man’s dog was not his best friend after he was hit with a £50 fine for not controlling it. Peter Lee Harris, 37, of Aberconway Crescent, pleaded guilty to an offence under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. It comes after an incident on October 8 in Sandall Park. The defendant was also ordered to pay £50 in compensation and was warned by magistrates that the dog would be destroyed if he did not keep it under control in the future.

Balby: A motorist was left with a £265 bill after driving without insurance. Robert Anthony Swain, 23, of Balby Road pleaded guilty to the offence that happened on October 8 in Balby Road. He was also stung with six points on his licence and a £265 fine.

Bentley: A man has been made the subject of a community order after beating a woman. John Lee, 42, of Asquith Road, admitted assaulting his victim during an altercation on November 13. Lee was ordered to complete 150 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £100 in compensation and £85 in costs.

Thorne: A litter bug was left fuming after being fined £288 for dropping a cigarette end. Dawn Baker, 44, of Miller Lane, pleaded guilty to the offence that happened on August 9.
