A CANDLE lit vigil will be held tonight in memory of teenage murder victim Casey Lyanne Kearney.
More than 100 people are expected to gather at 5.30pm at the war memorial outside Elmfield Park in Bennetthorpe, where the 13-year-old was knifed down.
Organiser Lee Maguire knows the parents of one of Casey’s friends and has organised the vigil as a way for the community to show their support to Casey’s grieving family.
He said: “What has happened is disgusting and even though it happened in one area, the whole on Doncaster is feeling the pain.
“I just wanted to do something so people could have somewhere to pay their respects and show Casey’s family that we are thinking of them.”
Asda have promised to provide candles for the memorial and people are expected to come from all around the county to pay their respects.
