Officers investigating a burglary at industrial premises in Wheatley Hall Road are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Between 4pm and 6.15pm on Friday January 2, it is reported that persons unknown forced entry into a business unit on Riverdale Business Park belonging to QCS, causing damage to two sets of steel gates and a steel door.

Once inside, the suspects are thought to have removed tools and other production equipment of value, before taking two company vehicles that were parked outside.

One of the vehicles has since been recovered in the Kirk Sandall area but officers are keen to trace a white Ford Transit van, which is described as having a dull white driver’s door, which is a noticeably duller shade of white than the rest of the vehicle.

Nobody was injured during the incident and no arrests have yet been made.

Police only released details of the incident today - Saturday January 10.

Anyone with information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 802 of 2 January 2015, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
