In just over a decade since he began performing, Reginald D Hunter has become one of the UK Comedy industry’s best-known and most distinctive performers.
His work is often brutally honest, frequently controversial but always meticulously measured and thought out.
He is one of the few performers to have been nominated for the highly coveted main Perrier Award in three consecutive years and has become a well-known face on primetime television shows such as Live At The Apollo and QI and is a frequent guest on Have I Got News For You.
A regular performer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe since 2002, Reginald’s career has led to him being invited to perform in venues the world over in places such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and South Africa.
Reginald has performed at Sydney Opera House and has just returned from an appearance at the Sydney Comedy Festival and his third appearance at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. He is also a well-known face on primetime television shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and QI and is a frequent guest on Have I Got News For You. He has recently appeared in Argumental for Dave Channel and Would I Lie To You for BBC1. He also starred alongside Andy Hamilton in BBC4’s It’s Only A Theory and appeared in the New Years Day episode of the hugely popular Live At The Apollo (BBC1)
His latest solo show, Trophy N **** , was hugely successful at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010 and his first major tour of the UK sold out in virtually all of the 70 venues visited. He is also currently developing a TV series with Showtime in America.
Steve Hughes is now widely regarded one of the most esteemed and exciting stand up comedians working on the UK and International circuit. With a laconic and deceptively laid back style, Steve’s musings on life and the universe are far reaching. A chain smoking, beer swilling, plain talking Australian, Steve’s real passion is the topical, political and intellectual – delivered in a frequently provocative manner. His eclectic mix of quirky anecdotes and witty one-liners has earned him legions of fans across the U.K., as well as recent performances on Michael Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), Comedy Cuts (ITV), The Live Floor Show (BBC2), The Comedy Store and Comedy Blue (Paramount), and The World Stands Up! (Comedy Central).
