CELEBRITY chef Phil Vickery stopped off in the borough to cook up a storm.

The telly cook has been hitting the road in his quirky 1950s red engine to film his Meals On Wheels show for ITV1’s This Morning.

The programme rewards community-based firms and highlights hard-working staff who have raised money for the British Heart Foundation, arrived at Doncaster’s award-winning Topping Pie Company to serve up some tasty treats in Chappell Drive.

Topping is celebrating 50 years as a family business and chose the British Heart Foundation as its charity this year.

Staff have held a variety of fundraisers including a 50k bike ride and sponsored forest walk. There are plans for future events including a pie and peas night, a Christmas carol concert and a ‘wear red to work’ day.
