A Doncaster woman is set to raise cash for a cancer charity close to her heart with a hair raising challenge.
Neece Francess-Allen is having her head shaved on Saturday to raise money for Aurora.
Neece, who volunteers one day a week at the Aurora Care to Give shop in Scot Lane is dedicating the head shave to close friend Ann Holden who is approaching her last chemotherapy session for breast cancer.
Neece said: “I wanted to do something to raise money for Aurora and raise the profile of the charity.
“I saw someone do a charity head shave and thought that’s something I could do.
“I work with a lot of cancer patients refereed to me through Aurora with my wig business Strut Your Style so I wanted to give something back.
“A lot of my friends and family were either stunned into silence or swore at me and said I’m the last person they would expect to do something like this but Aurora is such a good cause.”
The charity head shave will take place on Saturday at 2pm at Ziniz restaurant in Bawtry.
