Tracey’s legal studies get welcome boost

A CAREER-minded mum can pursue her studies after receiving a coveted scholarhip.

Tracey Davies has been awarded the Barry Hilton Scholarship and can now work towards a recognised qualification in legal accounting to further enhance her career prospects.

Currently employed as a legal cashier at Doncaster-based Atherton Godfrey, Tracey, who lives in Toll Bar, said she felt lucky to be chosen and was looking forward to developing her career.

Barry Hilton was one of the founders of the Institute of Legal Financial Managers (ILFM) and was committed to the education of legal accounting staff. The scholarship was named in his honour following his death in 2006.

Diane Parker, partner at Atherton Godfrey with responsibility for treaining , said: “Tracey has done extremely well to be selected for the Scholarship.

“The training and development of all our staff is very important and this Scholarship will allow Tracey to pursue a recognised qualification.”

Tracey received the Bronze Award which, when completed, will make her a member of the Institute of Legal Finance Managers.

The ILFM is the UK’s leading education authority and membership body for legal finance.
