A COMPANY that donated shifts to help a Doncaster charity is taking part in a similar initiative and looking for other good causes to support.

Facility management firm Rejus previously worked with other local businesses to create counselling facilities for young people at Doncaster’s rape and sexual abuse centre.

Now it plans to donate one shift for each of its 50 employees to charities and community groups across the region to coincide with the end of its first year as a Doncaster Chamber patron member.

Director Mathew Lynds said the membership had had a massive impact on the company by raising its profile and accelerating plans for growth.

“It has opened the door to an impressive portfolio of new business opportunities and has proved to have a remarkable return on our investment,” he explained.

Being able to put something back into the community, and give our staff the experience of helping others, can only be good for Rejus, its staff, and for those people who need help. It’s a small step but if we all gave a little, many of the problems we have would be resolved,” he added.

Rejus is working alongside fellow Chamber member South Yorkshire Community Foundation to identify charitable projects and organisations that can benefit the most from the help of highly skilled tradesmen and women. Any organisations interested should contact 0114 2424857 for further details.
