Retail giant moves to distribution hub

FASHION retailer Next has rented thousands of feet of warehouse space in Doncaster to support its online business.

The move completes the leasing of units at Redhouse Interchange and is the largest letting in Yorkshire for AXA Real Estate Investment Managers for 18 months.

Next has joined big name businesses DFS, B&Q and Asda at the prominent distribution site and has taken a 15-year lease on a 263,000 sq ft warehouse.

Andrew Gent of Gent Visick, which advised AXA on the deal, commented: “Occupation of all of the existing units leaves only one

remaining 17 acre plot for future development at this location. This letting to Next Plc is indicative of the

growing strength of the internet sector in the UK.”
