Prince’s Trust helps out

Brett Briddick is on his way to getting his own business on the road with the help of a growing enterprise programme.

Brett, 25, had been unemployed for five months ahd had been forced to dip into his wedding savings to keep afloat when he enrolled on the Prince’s Trust Explore Enterprise course.

He’s now a fully qualified driving instructor with plans to set up his own business.

“The Prince’s Trust made me believe in myself and pointed me in the right direction. I now plan to build up a business over the next five years,” he said.

The trust enterprise programme has supported 100 young people in Doncaster since its launch in 2009. It is estimated that it could add £500,800 to the local economy over the next three years. One in four young people in Doncaster are jobless.
