Energy price freeze campaigners have been hitting the streets of Doncaster district this week.

Representatives were in Edlington, Conisbrough and Denaby Main asking the Government to tackle soaring gas and electricity bills.

Coun Sandra Holland: “There was a great response. People are staggered at the brass neck of the energy companies ramping up their prices yet again.”

Fellow Conisbrough councillor Chris Mills added: “People are disgusted at the size of these gas and electricity increases.”

Don Valley MP and shadow energy spokesman Caroline Flint said: “No one believes we are paying a fair price for our energy, and they are appalled that David Cameron refuses to stand up to the energy companies. Our message is – unless David Cameron freezes prices, a Labour government will.”
