New Doncaster business park is ‘a third full’

One third of a speculative business park currently under construction in Doncaster has already been let to new tenants.

Investor Carnell Management Services capitalised on research highlighting the lack of available small to medium-sized accommodation in the region with the development of 13 units from 2,000 to 12,373 sq ft at Bullrush Business Park, off White Rose Way.

Construction work on the project, which is partly funded with a £1.4m grant from the European Regional Development Fund, started in January 2015 with completion expected very soon. Doncaster-based Danum Well Services has taken three units totalling 6,000 sq ft to relocate and expand its operations while suppliers to the engineering industry Signet Industrial Distribution Limited has concluded the agreement lease on a 6,000 sq ft unit.

Rebecca Schofield, partner at Knight Frank, joint agent for the site with PPH Commercial, said: “The site represents a significant opportunity for smaller to mid-size businesses seeking quality industrial space and facilities.”

Knight Frank’s logistics and industrial commentary report previously highlighted a critical shortage of small to medium sized industrial units across South Yorkshire.

Ian Brooks, divisional director at PPH Commercial, said: “This is one of very few industrial and distribution schemes to have emerged in Doncaster post-recession and is well placed to appeal to upwardly mobile relocators.”
