New Aldi store brings jobs to Doncaster

School children from Harworth officially opened the doors to a new Aldi store at 8.00am today, following a six month development.

The store, located on Scrooby Road, was opened by students from the Harworth Church of England Academy and Aldi Store Manager, Jayne Adderley, in a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new store has created 25 new jobs for the local community.

To celebrate the opening, Aldi is holding a Valentine’s Day themed Family Fun Day on Saturday February 14 from 11am. Customers will be able to enjoy complimentary hot food, face painters, balloon modellers and themed gift bags.

Aldi Store Manager, Jayne Adderley, said: “It was fantastic to see so many customers turn out for our opening this morning and we hope that they enjoy their new Aldi store. We were pleased that the Harworth Church of England Academy were able to help open the store.

“Aldi would like to thank the community for their support, and hope to meet more customers at our family fun day on Saturday 14th February - it should be a great day.”

The store, located on Scrooby Road, Harworth, DN11 8LT, is now open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 10pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
