Martin shares sales expertise

AN experienced sales professional has joined a major engineering company to take charge of a 12-strong team.

Sheffield Forgemasters (SFIL) has strengthened its engineering division with the appointment of Doncaster’s Martin Brear who brings more than 20 years experience to the role.

During his career, Martin, 43, has acquired a network of contacts across the special steels, industrial gas turbine and aerospace industries.

He has a BSc Hons degree in Business Economics and left his previous post as head of business development at Sheffield-based engineering company Firth Rixson, to join SFIL.

His main responsibilities will be to head the sales of the company’s forged and cast products and to develop new business areas in its expanding, high technology product range.

Martin said: “I am excited by this challenge, which brings me into some new products and markets demanding the highest levels of product quality, integrity and technology; all concepts with which I am both familiar, and committed to supporting as we take the company forward.”
