MOTORISTS are being warned of road closures and diversions on one of Doncaster’s busiest roads this month.

As part of continuing improvements along the A6182 White Rose Way, carriageway surfacing works will take place at Lady Bank junction between 9pm on February 15 and 6am on February 18.

Temporary traffic management arrangements and diversions will be in place to allow the works to take place, including turning restrictions at the roundabout and the night-time closure between 9pm and 6am over the railway lines between Lady Bank and Potteric Carr roundabouts for all inbound and outbound traffic.

Signposted diversions will be in place on the approaches. Full details of the restricted turnings and diversions are available at www.doncaster.gov.uk/wrw

Mayor of Doncaster, Peter Davies, said: “Work on this key route is progressing well and everything is on track for the new look White Rose Way to be completed and open in the summer.

“With the new bridge and additional lanes being used, motorists can see how these improvements will help ease congestion and speed up journey times. The important scheme will also unlock development sites, helping to attract new investment, housing and jobs.”

The entire route from junction 3 of the M18 into the town will become dual carriageway.
