Downpours cause lengthy rail delays
Train
COMMUTERS are facing rail delays of up to 45 minutes as flooding affects the borough’s main railway line.
Flooding is causing disruption between Grantham and Newark North Gate, part of the London Kings Cross service which travels through Doncaster train station, and is causing lengthy delays this afternoon.
Rail bosses say there is no current estimate for when a normal service will resume.
There are also no trains between Swinton station and Fitzwilliam until further notice, according to the Travel South Yorkshire Twitter account.
East Coast passengers are being accepted on East Midlands Trains, First TransPennine Express and Virgin Trains services on any reasonable routes, reports National Rail Enquiries.
To find out whether this will impact your journey and to get alternative options used the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner, or call TrainTracker on 0871 200 49 50.
