TWO sales staff have recently been recruited and a marketing post is soon to be filled at a growing company where customer demand is on the up.

And its directors believe that initially employing an apprentice encouraged them to recruit earlier than they might have done and gave them confidence to accelerate their plans.

Educational games company i-education launched five years ago and is now predicting a four-fold increase in turnover in the next four years.

Director Michael Wilkinson said apprenticeships provided incentives to employers and opportunities for young people.

“i-education has always believed that the key to recruitment is to find a candidate who has the right core values; and that training can be provided to address any skills gaps necessary to perform the duties within that role,” he said.
