A TALENTED young actor has been treading the boards at a West End theatre with celebrity comedian Matt Lucas.
Donny Rovers fan Dominic Harrison, 14, sang alongside the Little Britain star in a one-night performance at London’s Vaudeville theatre.
He said: “It was awesome. It showed me that being on stage is just what I want to do.
“Everyone including Matt Lucas was really down-to-earth.and I really enjoyed every minute.”
He may only be a teenager but Dominic already boasts an impressive stage background, with roles including Baby John in West Side Story.
Now, he is gearing up to take part in the new National Youth Music Theatre production, 13, at the Apollo Theatre, also in London, in August.
Dominic’s mum Sam, 41, of Wentedge Road in Kirk Smeaton, said: “We’re incredibly proud of him. It was fantastic to see him on a West End stage.
“Dominic was really into football when he was younger but a friend went along to a theatre workshop in Wakefield and he went along and he’s never looked back.”
