Finally recovering back at his Armthorpe home is former Britain’s Got Talent star Danny Ball after being involved in a horror car crash.

Danny, aged 28, suffered life-threatening injuries after the accident which also involved his 22-year-old brother Jamie Faulding.

He has made faster progress than doctors expected, finally getting back on his feet and walking last week.

Following the crash Danny - who found fame as half of martial arts duo Strike (pictured) on the ITV talent show in 2008 - was airlifted to hospital by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and since then friends and family have been rallying round to raise money for the emergency service.

Friend Tom Thorpe, head instructor at East West martial arts, organised a fundraiser at the Frenchgate Centre earlier this month, he said: “It went really well and the final fundraising figure was £700 which is going to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance,
“We were doing live classes from the Frenchgate and we also had our demo and fight teams who did some displays. People are still talking about it now.”

In total £2,400 has so far been raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
