An award-winning pub which is popular with Dearne real ale fans is hosting a beer festival.
The Old no. 7 pub in Barnsley town centre is expected to be packed for the event, held between Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21.
Visitors can expect a wide range of ales and ciders for the fun weekend which will showcase some of the region’s top micro-breweries.
The pub only re-opened two years ago after a period of closure and was described last year as the “jewel in the crown of Barnsley’s real ale watering holes” by members of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
In 2013 it was a double award winner, having been named both Yorkshire CAMRA Pub of the Year and Barnsley CAMRA Pub of the Year.
