ELDERLY or disabled council tenants in Doncaster are being offered help to prepare for the TV digital switch-over.
St. Leger Homes, who manage council homes for Doncaster Council, have come together with the BBC’s Help Scheme to give support before the switch-over takes place later this year.
Eligible tenants will be contacted by the Help Scheme.
Susan Jordan, chief executive of St.Leger Homes said: “We have recently been fitting new aerials in communal flats in time for the switchover later and to help tenants even more we have joined forces.”
Sarah Cole from the Help Scheme said most people will have to pay £40 towards the standard offer of help which includes switchover equipment instillation and 12 month aftercare service.
