Youngsters at a secondary school took centre stage for a day of music, dancing and drama performance.

Pupils from The Axholme Academy in Crowle joined hundreds of others from across the region to take part in Rock Challenge at Grimsby Auditorium on Monday.

Creative pupils arranged a dance performance with a water theme to medley of music.

They also staged a dress rehearsal at the school beforehand.

The pupils gave it their all and dressed up as mermaids, pirates, divers and starfish for the show.

Kim Taylor, 26, teaching assistant said: “They have been working really hard and have come up with some really creative ideas. “

The event is held at venues across the country and aims to encourage young people to be the best they can be without the need for tobacco, alcohol or drugs. For more pictures visit our website www.epworthbells.co.uk
