An Armthorpe fashionista has launched her own clothing brand.
Vikkie Richmond, 30, founded online retail store Victoria British Boutique after years of managing several Yorkshire clothes stores.
She grew up on Horsehills Lane, Armthorpe and recently moved to Warwickshire to set up the business.
She said: “It continues to grow fast in a short space of time. It’s really taken off.
“It’s mostly vintage stuff and high street trend pieces that are new.
“Because I’ve worked with high end retail stores I tend to know a good, well-made piece when I see one.
“I am now looking to expand the business further by designing my own range of soft furnishings from recycled vintage pieces and fabrics.”
Now Vikkie has teamed up with a cancer charity called 20 20 Voice Cancer Appeal to hold a fashion show in the Leicester Tigers Stadium to raise funds for equipment to detect head and neck cancers early. She hopes to raise hundreds of pounds for the cause.
