ROBIN Hood Airport has welcomed a number of celebrities to its site, including stars from top telly soap Emmerdale.
The airport was the venue for award-winning actor Danny Miller filming his character Aaron Livesy’s final Emmerdale scenes in the terminal buildings.
The cast and crew of the hit ITV1 show filmed the top secret scenes in March, filming two endings.
The Finningley-based airport has made a number of starring appearances in television shows including David Walliams and Matt Lucas’ comedy sketch show Come Fly With Me, Prisoners Wives and Spooks.
BBC One’s The One Show has also been filming at the airport lately.
Bands including Torn and Slinky Peach have also recently filmed their latest music videos at the airport.
Lorraine Daffern, Robin Hood Airport’s head of terminal services and security, said: “We are developing a growing reputation for film, TV and more recently music videos to be filmed at the airport because we always try to accommodate the various needs of production companies.
“It’s great to be able to work with programmes like Emmerdale and be a desired filming location. It’s always interesting for the many passengers travelling through the airport to the many sun spots served from here when we have filming taking place. It has become a great place to spot celebrities as well as aeroplanes.”
