Property agents GVA and Doncaster-based LWE Commercial have been jointly appointed to market the environmentally sustainable office units at the first phase of Prospect Property Group’s new 62,000 sq ft Doncaster International Business Park scheme at Robin Hood Airport.
Work started on site at Fountain Court Workpods earlier this month when Henry Boot Construction was appointed as the scheme’s main contractor. Completion is due in May next year.
Matthew Tootell, director of office agency at GVA in Yorkshire, said: “This is an exciting scheme at Doncaster International Business Park and the office units offer something innovative and different to the market. We expect there to be strong interest in the development from prospective owner occupiers seeking to own their own ‘front door’ as well as leasehold occupiers from both within and outside the Yorkshire region.”
Andrew Allen, director of LWE Commercial, added: “The delivery of this office park is perfectly timed for the growth in Doncaster, particularly around the airport and FARRRS link and we look forward to letting and selling these offices to plenty of local Doncaster and South Yorkshire businesses”
Designed and constructed to exacting environmental criteria, the workpods project has attracted £1.5m from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of Europe’s support for the region’s economic development through the Yorkshire and Humber ERDF programme 2007-13.
The 41 workpod office units are set to generate more than 130 new jobs for the area, which is seeing a surge of other large-scale new developments, including the new link road from the M18 to Robin Hood Airport and the 6 million sq ft IPort rail freight terminal.
