PUPILS and staff at a Doncaster secondary have been celebrating the school’s best ever A-Level results.
The Hayfield School has announced a “record-breaking” number of pupils achieving grades A* to B.
Some of the exceptional year 13 performances include Rachel Goodband who achieved three A* and two As, Charlie Jackson with three A* and one A, Lucy Warnock with three A* and one A as well as Marcus Hooper and Rebecca Walters each with two A* and two As.
With university on the horizon, top performers Lucy and Charlie will be attending Oxford, studying French and Physics respectively.
Maria Rock, acting headteacher for the school based in Auckley, said: “These are an outstanding set of examination results that reflect a huge amount of hard work by an excellent group of students who have been exceptionally well supported by staff at The Hayfield School and their families.
“The school has continued to have high standards in all subjects, but we are particularly pleased with a significant increase in the number of students achieving the top grades at A-Level. We are extremely proud of our students, with so many of them securing places at university and achieving beyond their expectations.”
