EAST Doncaster has been awarded funding, via Coalfields Regeneration Trust, to employ two Employment Support Workers. and deliver an employment support service targeted at Stainforth, Dunscroft and Hatfield residents.
The primary objective is to assist people who face particular challenges in securing employment.

Both employment support officers, Liz and Lisa, have worked within the local community for a number of years and understand the barriers that local r
esidents are faced with.

Between them they have a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience which they brought to the service.

People are assessed on an individual basis, identifying their individual needs.

Support is given with interview skills, producing a CV, assistance with job searching and application filling. It may be that the individual requires training, choosing the right path can often be daunting, therefore being able to discuss and pursue with help and advice can make the journey easier.

The employment support officers are available to give advice and support residents in removing barriers that prevent people from finding suitable employment.

This service is free, confidential and does not affect benefit entitlements.

The friendly staff work on a one to one basis over a period of time in assisting residents to achieve their goals.
