DISABLED people and their carers can benefit from an awareness day giving information about service available in the borough.
Supported by Doncaster Council and the PCT, a number of agencies and disabled people are coming together on Saturday to organise for the 'one stop shop' of information and advice.

Everything from benefit advice, supported employment, education, children and adult services, advocacy, health and fitness and much more will be covered on the day.

The Disability Awareness Day, open from 10am-3pm, will be officially opened by Doncaster Rovers FC's Director of Football Mickey Walker.

There will also be a range of activities taking place including sports, dance, face painting plus the KIDZAWARE Puppet Show.

Mayor Martin Winter said: "I'm sure visitors to the event will find the day extremely informative as well as enjoyable."

The event takes place at the Doncaster Deaf Trust on Leger Way in Doncaster.

Entry is free and all facilities are accessible with ample car parking including disabled parking, British Sign Language interpreters and refreshments available throughout the day.
