DONCASTER Advocacy which supports adults with learning disabilities are looking for a volunteer in the Thorne/Moorends area.
A 60-year-old man is described as very pleasant and friendly and he is busy through the day, but then he has nobody to go out with in the evenings or weekends.

He is looking for a friend to spend some time with.

The man, named Billy for this report, likes people who are kind, honest, fairly quiet, but likes a laugh. He would like somebody of his own age that he can talk to.

His interests are playing pool/snooker, going to the pub, pictures, bowling, trains and watching football.

Anyone with a couple of hours to spare, maybe weekly or fortnightly is needed.

A spokesman for the Advocacy said: "We pay expenses for our volunteers and offer training and support as needed.

"All our volunteers are required to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check at Enhanced Level.

If you can help, please ring 01302 365142."
