FIVE members of staff from Green Top Primary in Thorne did their bit for charity by taking part in the Race For Life on Sunday.
Dinner ladies Gillian Swift, Sharon Robinson and Rose Sparrow along with teaching assistant Annette Billadeau and teacher Jackie Mahoney completed the 5k at Town Fields in Doncaster and raised a total of £907.50

The event is Cancer Research Uk's flagship fundraiser that has grown to become one of the UK's largest women-only charitable events and involves participants walking, jogging or running 5k.

Gillian told the Gazette: "It was a fantastic day and the atmosphere was brilliant, but it was very windy.

"We would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for sponsoring us, if it hadn't been for them we wouldn't have raised so much.

"We're still collecting and if someone would like to make it up to £1,000 that would be great."
