Elbow gear up for UK tour

Elbow.

Elbow.

Elbow cap another phenomenal year with a series of UK dates in November and December.

If 2011 was another landmark year for the band, with their debut UK arena tour selling out, a still lauded Glastonbury set and a series of unique shows that encompassed the crypt of St Paul’s and their hometown’s Manchester Cathedral, then 2012 has proven to be even more significant. The band even found time to launch their own beer with local brewer Robinsons that so outstripped initial projections that it is now on sale nationwide in supermarkets.

Starting the year with the announcement that they would provide the theme music for the BBC’s 2012 Olympic coverage, Elbow then went on to sell out their near hometown Jodrell Bank show within minutes of going on sale.

Therelease of ‘Dead In The Boot’, the long awaited B sides album on August 27 completed the current Elbow catalogue following the reissues of their first three studio albums.

With a remarkable headline show at Latitude just completed alongside sets at T In The Park and the Isle Of Wight Festival, 2012 is proving to be yet another year of success for the band.
