Green fingered pupils aiming for eco schools green flag status have been out and about in the community tidying their town.

Year three teacher and eco schools coordinator, Charlotte Moore, said: “The clean up was one of our eco projects. As a school that is eco conscious and wanting to gain green flag status the school, with the help of the school council, has made significant progress with such things as recycling, energy saving, biodiversity and water conservation.”

She added: “There is an eco ethos throughout the school which informs everything we do. We intend to maintain and enhance this as we work towards green flag status. As we progress in our efforts, someone from the eco schools organisation will come out and assess us to ensure we fulfil all criteria.”
