After over indulging during the festive season our weather, alcohol and unhealthy diet ravaged skin needs a much needed pick me up for the new year.

And thanks to a Doncaster beautician residents can now transform their skin with the help of state of the art NASA technology.

Andrea Smeaton, director of Glitz, in Elm Road, Skellow, is the proud new owner of one of only a handful of collagen red light therapy bed’s in the UK.

The technology, devised by NASA, tackles everything from wrinkles to blemishes and is being used as a substitute for more
invasive treatments such
as botox and fillers.

But it’s not just the beauty benefits of the bed that have got experts excited but the long term health benefits.

The power of red light was originally harnessed by NASA, which proved that it helped to heal wounds and burns, and it has been used — successfully — for the treatment of skin cancer and joint pain.

And just weeks after unwrapping her brand new bed, Andrea is already bowled over by the results.

She said: “Everyone
without exception states
that even after one session they have a real feeling of wellbeing.

“I can also tell a massive difference in my skin. I have had botox and fillers previously and feel that I will not longer need this more invasive treatment.

“I have a lady who has been walking with the aid of a stick for as long as I can remember and after only four sessions has not been using it.

“Another lady has fibromyalgia and has nearly halved her medication
after four sessions and is convinced her thread veins are fading also.

“It really is blowing me away and totally exceeding my expectations.”

Andrea is now planning a meeting with her local doctors surgery and hospitals to highlight all the potential benefits of the bed.

She added: “Normal protocol is three to four weeks before seeing true benefits but everyone is like wow after one or two sessions.

“I have slept like a baby since using it several times in the past week and I’ve asked my clients how they are sleeping and they have all confirmed the same.”
