Organised by Bawtry Retail Association, it runs from Sunday until Saturday, March 15, and will see shops using innovative marketing ideas to show customers and visitors why independent retailers are the best place to shop and socialise.

“Bawtry has an eclectic mix of retail outlets and a vibrant social scene and we were keen to celebrate this whilst giving our fashion retailers the chance to shine,” said Rebecca Dickenson chairman of Bawtry Retail Association.

“We have such a fantastic range of designer labels where you can find everything from underwear and swimwear to stunning outfits including casual, occasion and racing wear for men and women as well as amazing accessories such as handbags, jewellery and sunglasses.

Retailers taking part include Robinsons of Bawtry whose labels include Armani, Collezioni, Moschino and Mulberry; Yasmine of Bawtry, which is celebrating 40 years in business in April, and brings popular women labels such as Joseph Ribkoff and Betty Barclay to the town; Incognito, which has Roberto Cavalli, Michael Kors and Airfield and & She Knows Lingerie boutique, which has a range of lingerie from Empreinte, PrimaDonna and MarieJo as well as swimwear from Maryan Mehlhorn and Spanx hosiery.

“Our fashion retailers have really gone to town with their plans with each one taking centre stage at some point during the week,” said Rebecca. “Look out for a ‘live fashion window’ by Incognito in partnership with Womacks of Bawtry, a rolling online fashion show by Robinsons and special focus days by other participants including Scarfarama by Yasmine and a flash lingerie photo shoot by & She Knows.”

A BFW champagne cocktail has been chosen by Oli Clark of Coco Ice Cocktail Bar, available at bars and eateries throughout the week.

Other businesses are supporting BFW with food and drink offers from Crown Hotel, Classic and Contemporary Cake Shop, Caviars, China Rose and NYC Bar and Grill. An aftershow party is hosted by Ziniz on March 15. The Vanilla Rooms, Lash and Nail Boutique, Hair and Makeup artist Nesli at Elite, ETC, LUX Aveda Hair Salon, Bawtry Eye Academy are running promotions.

The week is backed by a social media campaign with a Bawtry Fashion Week Facebook page and Twitter account with #BFW to spread the word about.
