Hot half term deals
With the cold snap hitting in the UK, Comparecarhire.co.uk, a leading car hire comparator, has found that British holidaymakers are booking February half term breaks in locations with hotter climates to escape the cold weather forecast for this month.
The company says that bookings for destinations including Portugal, Spain, Greece and Miami have increased when compared with last year’s bookings, which mainly included breaks in the UK and Switzerland.
Andy Hemmington of Comparecarhire.co.uk, says: “With the weather taking a turn for the worst, a lot of families are planning on getting away for a short break over the half term to avoid the severe weather warnings across the UK.
“Money may remain tight for many people, but there are some good deals available, especially through shopping around and taking the time to compare prices.
“If travellers are looking to book a car for the half term break but are finding that prices are significantly higher than this time last year, they should try looking at a range of different options for pick up including downtown locations.”
