Food and drink Oscars

THE search is on once again for the crème de la crème of the region’s food and drink sector.

Fantastic food is sought for the eighth annual deliciouslyorkshire awards, that also celebrate the outstanding achievements of producers, retailers and the hospitality sector.

New for 2012 is the Innovation Award, vital to keep the UK’s food sector ahead of the trends, and Best Multiple Retailer of Local Produce which will be awarded to the retailer who best promotes regional produce. The latter award is also open to non-deliciouslyorkshire members with more than two outlets.

The awards, considered the Oscars of the food and drink sector in the region, received more than 280 entries last year from producers, hotels, manufacturers and farm shops. This year there are 19 award categories.
