Doncaster British legion seeks new recruits

NEWS: News.

NEWS: News.

THE new chairman of the Doncaster branch of the Royal British Legion wants to boost membership, which has dwindled to under 50.

Bob Hayward says he wants to keep the branch ‘where it should be in the community’. They meet at the Comrades’ Club, Bennetthorpe, on the first Monday of each month at 2pm.

“Members are an interesting mix of ex-servicemen and women and some of their partners, who care about our Armed Forces. Any member of the public is welcome,” said Bob. Call 01302 344628.
