THANKS to an appeal in the Thorne Gazette about Travis School around 1962, I received a photo by e-mail just four days later and three mails from former classmates.
The problem is that at my end of the electronic system I began to have great problems with sending messages out.
This led to a loss of contact with all my friends - Susan Hague, Evelyn Downing and Susan Trenery.
I enclose the famous photo of th
e team of Standard 1 or 2 from Thorne Travis School.
I hope to jog a memory or two and renew contact with Susan, Evelyn and Susan again.
I have a postal address for Karen Williamson so I can keep in touch.
The names of the team as far as I can recall are (back, from left): Miss Thompson, headmistress; Steven Waller, Paul Temperton, Andrew Marlow, Stephen Whittingham, Roy Fotheringham, Keith Poskitt, Clifford Durant, Keith Simonite, David White, Mrs L Smith. I am sorry to have spaces in the names but after just over 45 years my grey matter is a bit sleepy.
It would be wonderful to know where this group is today and see how they have lived their lives, where they are.
