THANKS to an appeal in the Thorne Gazette about Travis School around 1962, I received a photo by e-mail just four days later and three mails from former classmates.
The problem is that at my end of the electronic system I began to have great problems with sending messages out.

This led to a loss of contact with all my friends - Susan Hague, Evelyn Downing and Susan Trenery.

I enclose the famous photo of th
e team of Standard 1 or 2 from Thorne Travis School.

I hope to jog a memory or two and renew contact with Susan, Evelyn and Susan again.

I have a postal address for Karen Williamson so I can keep in touch.

The names of the team as far as I can recall are (back, from left): Miss Thompson, headmistress; Steven Waller, Paul Temperton, Andrew Marlow, Stephen Whittingham, Roy Fotheringham, Keith Poskitt, Clifford Durant, Keith Simonite, David White, Mrs L Smith. Third row: ?, William Bunting, Angela Woodruff, ?, ?, Christopher Hardy, David Finch, Cawkwell, Frankie. Second row: Evelyn Downing, June Trenery, ?, ?, Susan Hague, Karen Williamson, Julia Greaves, Julie Martin. Sitting: Alan Rozwaha, Steven Guest, Michael Hardy, ?, Steven Gravill, Andrew Lee.

I am sorry to have spaces in the names but after just over 45 years my grey matter is a bit sleepy.

It would be wonderful to know where this group is today and see how they have lived their lives, where they are.

Thank you again and I'll try to see the Gazette on the net from here, when the wind is in the right direction.
