METHODIST Church: The coffee morning last Saturday raised £372.71 for SSAFA. This was organised by Ray Harper who thanks all who contributed and helped with the event which was very well attended.
Rainbows: Start their meetings after the summer break on Thursday September 17, 4-5.15pm for girls aged 5-7 years. New members are always welcome.
Church Harvest Weekend: Saturday is the day for the Harvest Supper, Sunday - Harvest Service at 6pm
with Arthur Briggs taking the service and Monday is the Harvest Sale which starts at 7pm. Any produce donated can be brought to the chapel on Saturday morning or Sunday evening. All proceeds from these events will go the chapel funds.
Next Saturday September 19 the coffee morning is for Project 2000.
Hatfield Woodhouse Players: Rehearsals have commenced for the next show 'Oklahoma' to be performed at Hatfield Visual Arts Centre in February 2010. A welcome to all the new members who have joined the Players and especially to Eileen Allison as the new musical director.
The Great North Run: We all wish Amanda Goodwin the very best of luck when she runs in the race on Saturday September 19 in aid of Alzheimer's charity. Amanda would appreciate anyone who would like to sponsor her for the race by contacting her mum, Jackie Grice on 01302 842102.
Hatfield Woodhouse Village Show: An excellent village show was held last Saturday in the Working Men's Club where there was a very good display of all the classes which included floral art, kitchen produce, handicrafts, children's classes, garden produce and flower classes. The committee at Hatfield Woodhouse Amateur Gardening Society who sponsored the event would like to thank everyone who was involved with the show, all the cup and trophy winners, the judges and the Working Men's Club committee for their kind permission to use the premises.
