Young people from across Doncaster are celebrating their role as newly elected youth councillors.

Youth councillors received a certificate of participation from Doncaster Council’s director of the children and young people’s service, Chris Pratt.

They will take on the role of representing their views, opinions and neighbourhoods at key council decision groups, and become actively involved in shaping future change and progress.

Loren Rushton, 16, from Carcroft, will represent the north area, and Aysha Ahmed, 15, from Finningley will be representing the south area of the borough.
