Weekend of family fun at Dearne church
MEMBERS of a Dearne church are inviting residents to attend a special weekend of events.
Volunteers at Goldthorpe Pentecostal Community Church have arranged a series of activities for this coming Saturday and Sunday.
There will be a coffee morning and children’s craft activities on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
Visitors can also enjoy competitions, quizzes and other activities looking at the theme ‘He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands’.
In the evening at 6pm there will be a family film night, with free supper after the movie.
Special services celebrating two years since the church opened will take place on Sunday at 10.30am and 6pm.
They will include quizzes and games for all the family to enjoy.
Church member Julie Turner is looking forward to the weekend.
She said: “There is no charge for any of these events and all the community is welcome to attend and see how the building is being used by the church and other local community groups such as Slimming World, Zumba and the Alzheimer’s Forget-Me-Not Café.”
