Watch for false fundraisers

DEARNE residents are warned to watch for doorstep callers who purport to be fundraising for charities.

Police are aware of people who claim to be collecting sponsorship for a run, to aid Cancer Research.

Anyone genuine will have proper identification and a charity logo, say police. They urge people not to give out money or bank details.
