FOLK had the chance to turn their apples and pears into juice at a pressing day.

The Apple of Your Isle group ‘a peeled’ to residents to attend its latest apple pressing day in Crowle.

The day at the Methodist Church in Fieldside followed other successful events hosted by the group, including sessions in Epworth.

Representatives from the group were on hand to guide visitors through the process for making and storing apple juice.

They also talked about how to turn your juice into cider and visitors could also pick up apple recipes.

The open days come after this year’s Festival of the Plough when the group pressed half a tonne of apples.
