PUPILS and staff from four Dearne schools were presented with new equipment thanks to a scheme run by the Tesco supermarket in Wath.
Dearne MP John Healey attended the store on Biscay Way recently to officially hand over the equipment to Swinton Fitzwilliam Infants, Wath C of E, Our Lady and St Joseph’s and Wath Victoria Primary schools.
Representatives of the schools were given IT, sport and outdoor equipment.
It was paid for through a voucher scheme collected and donated by shoppers.
Last year more than 440,000 pieces of equipment worth £9.3m were given to schools and clubs around the country through the Tesco for Schools and Clubs scheme, which is now in its 21st year.
