Opening gardens

Gardens in West Stockwith will be open to the public on Sunday July 15 from 11am to 4pm to raise funds for St Mary’s Church.

There will also be a number of Olympic-themed scarecrows around the village. Buy a ticket and get a map of the open gardens at the village hall (£3.50 for adults including a glass of wine; children free). Then visit the gardens, where there will also be refreshments (hot food, cream teas, and ice cream) and cakes, plants, bric a brac and books on sale.

There’s also a tombola and lucky dip, plus books for sale, including children’s titles, in St Mary’s Church where people are asked to leave a donation in the honesty box.
