New reading scheme for kids is launched

A NETWORK of children’s reading groups were launched on Saturday to celebrate National Libraries Day.

The ‘Chatterbooks’ reading groups have been introduced by Rotherham Library and Information Service to help inspire more children to read for pleasure.

Run by The Reading Agency, the reading groups will encourage children to read more, talk about books and visit libraries.

Any child aged four to 12-years-old can register at Rawmarsh, Wath and Swinton Libraries.
