A LEISURE centre has officially unveiled its new look at a glamourous ceremony.

Miss South Yorkshire finalist Charlotte Lister, 23, of Bentley, was invited to declare Adwick Leisure Centre’s new facilities open.

The centre, which has been taken over by Doncaster Cultural and Leisure Trust (DCLT), has undergone a £200,000 refurbishment.

It now has a new fitness suite including state-of-the-art gym equipment such as cardiovascular machines featuring audio and visual entertainment screens.

Kraig Kelly, group health and leisure manager for DCLT explains: “We are constantly looking at ways we can improve our facilities for the benefit of members and the Adwick Leisure Centre refurbishment is an important part of this.“

DCLT, which now runs all former council owned leisure centres, is planning overhauls of other sites it operates in the borough over the next months.
