New scheme has saved thousands

A TOTAL of 245 customers have signed up to the rural bulk oil buying scheme in the Misterton area, since it was launched last autumn.

And members have saved a massive £7,864 in the first nine months – an average of 5.72p/litre.

Misterton parish councillor Irene Charman is the local co-ordinator for the cut-price rural bulk buying scheme and is availabe via The Misterton Centre during opening hours, ring 01427 891872. Annual membership fees are £20 for householders, £30 for community buildings, and £100 for businesses. More details on the Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire website www.rcan.org.uk
