PEOPLE have been given a helping hand to get online as part of a week-long initiative.
Events were held at Crowle and Epworth libraries as part of North Lincolnshire Council’s Get Online Week.
Free online sessions were offered through Northern Lincs broadband who sent members of their support team out to help people master the basics.
As part of the scheme people were also taught the range of things available on the council’s website at www.northlincs.gov.uk - from paying bills to reporting problems.
Coun Neil Poole, cabinet member for Policy and Resources at NLC, said: “The list of things you can do online is endless. In a world of changing technology, you can’t afford to get left behind.
“The internet is a powerful tool to getting your business done, whether you are a business or resident,”
