AN ice cafe will be serving up a cool official opening next weekend, with an unlikely special guest in attendance.

A lookalike Jack Sparrow, from the Pirates of the Caribbean blockbuster film, will be jumping ship and cutting the ribbon of the new Icicle Works Ice Cafe in the Frenchgate Centre.

The cafe will be serving up a host of cold drinks including milkshakes and smoothies from its new base in the shopping centre.

Customers will also have the chance to win a replica belt - as worn by Jack in the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strange Tides film - when they order a large milkshake, smoothie or ‘bubble tea’ and are automatically entered into the competition for the top prize.

Customers can also get a VIP pass to meet Jack for a photo by visiting www.icicleworksicecafe.co.uk/vip. The cafe will officially open at noon on Saturday, October 13.
